Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the OENARI application on iOS, Android and the web (the "App"), operated by OENARI ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them, together with the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, and of legal drinking age where you live. One person, one account.

2. Your Account

Keep your credentials secure and tell us about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You may sign in with e-mail, Google or Apple.

3. The Service

OENARI lets you manage a wine cellar, record tasting notes, import and export your data, use a shared wine catalogue, and — if you choose to — take part in community features: public profiles, following, taste sessions and wine clubs.

3.1 Memberships

Free, Supporter and Premium tiers are described in the App and at Tiers & Pricing. Paid memberships are sold and billed only through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms; refunds are handled by the store. Cancelling stops renewal; your data is never deleted on downgrade. We may change features and prices with reasonable notice.

3.2 Availability and data

We work to keep the App available and your data safe, and we provide export and backup tools, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Keep your own exports of anything you cannot afford to lose.

3.3 Wine data

The shared catalogue, drinking windows, vintage reports, OP scores and AI features are provided for information. They are community-sourced or model-generated and may be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on them for purchase, insurance or investment decisions without checking.

4. Your Content

You own what you create: tasting notes, photos, bottles, session data, club posts. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display and process it to provide the App — including showing it to other users exactly as far as your own visibility settings allow, and no further.

4.1 Community contributions

Wines, producers, vendors, barcodes, label photos and catalogue corrections you contribute become part of the shared catalogue for all users. They are retained in anonymised form if you delete your account.

4.2 Community conduct

Content visible to others — notes, handles, bios, avatars, sessions, clubs and noticeboards — must follow the Community Guidelines. In short: write about wine, be decent, don't impersonate, don't mislead, don't vandalise the catalogue.

4.3 Taste sessions and clubs

Hosts and club owners are responsible for the people they invite and the content of their sessions and clubs. A session location is shared with accepted participants only; think before sharing your home address with people you do not know. Scores you submit in a session become tasting notes in your own account when a wine is revealed, and remain part of the session's averages if you leave.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not: break the law; access other accounts or our systems without permission; disrupt the service; scrape or bulk-extract data; create multiple accounts or impersonate others; use the App to promote alcohol to minors; harass, threaten or abuse anyone; upload malicious code.

6. Moderation and Enforcement

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or the Guidelines — with warning where reasonable, and without warning for serious breaches. Reports are reviewed by a person; you can appeal to support@oenari.com. Accounts inactive for an extended period may be closed with prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The OENARI name, logo, design and the OP scoring system are ours. You may not copy, modify or redistribute any part of the App without written consent.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the App. Personal data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy; anonymised community contributions remain. Deletion is irreversible.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for data loss beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced in the App; continued use afterwards means acceptance. If you disagree, delete your account.

11. Law

Swedish law applies. Disputes are settled by the Swedish courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection where you live.
