OENARI ("we", "us", "our") operates the OENARI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: First name, email address, and password when you register
  • Profile information: Display name, username, and optional profile photo
  • Wine cellar data: Wines you add to your cellar, including purchase details, storage locations, and tasting notes
  • Wishlist data: Wines you save to your wishlist
  • Community interactions: Likes, follows, ratings, and reviews you submit
  • Photos: Wine label images you upload

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device language: Used to set your preferred language (Swedish or English)
  • App usage data: Anonymous crash reports and performance metrics to improve the App
  • Authentication tokens: Secure session tokens for keeping you logged in

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect precise location data
  • We do not track your browsing activity outside the App
  • We do not collect contacts, phone numbers, or messages
  • We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App's functionality
  • Store and manage your wine cellar, tasting notes, and wishlist
  • Display community statistics (e.g., number of collectors, average ratings)
  • Send important service notifications (e.g., security alerts)
  • Improve the App's performance and user experience
  • Respond to support requests

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on servers within the European Union
  • All data transmission is encrypted using TLS/SSL
  • Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with industry-standard security practices
  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • Row Level Security (RLS) ensures users can only access their own data

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share data only in the following circumstances:

  • Aggregated, anonymous data: Community statistics (average scores, collector counts) are visible to other users but cannot be traced back to you
  • Service providers: We use Supabase for data storage and authentication. Supabase processes data under their own privacy policy and GDPR compliance
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or in response to valid legal requests

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data at any time through the App
  • Correct your personal information by editing your profile
  • Export your data by contacting us at support@oenari.com
  • Delete your account and all personal data through the App (Profile → Delete Account)
  • Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

6. Data Retention

  • Your data is retained for as long as your account is active
  • When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed
  • Anonymous community contributions (aggregated ratings, scores) may be retained in anonymized form
  • We may retain minimal records as required by law

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@oenari.com.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage (EU-hosted)
  • Google Sign-In: Optional authentication method (subject to Google's privacy policy)
  • Expo / EAS: App distribution and updates (no personal data shared)

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
