Wine History
Wine History is the story of one bottle in your cellar: when it arrived, where it has been stored, when it was tasted, and when it left. It also tells you how to serve it.
What You'll Find
- Timeline Supporter — every event for the bottle, logged automatically: added to the cellar, placed in a rack, moved, removed from a rack, tasting notes, and consumed or sold. You can correct the date of an event, and add your own events with Add event.
- Serving recommendations Supporter — serving temperature, whether to decant and for how long, and which glass to use. The advice follows the wine's style: sparkling wines get flute temperature and glass, Fino and Manzanilla are served chilled, and among ports only those that throw a sediment, such as Vintage Port, are advised to be decanted.
- Food & wine Supporter — a shortcut to Wine → Food for this wine. If pairings already exist for it, the card says Food match ready.
- Vintage report — how the year was rated in the wine's region, from 1 to 5, with a short summary. Shown on every tier when a report exists for the region and year.
On the free tier you see a summary instead of the timeline: when the bottle was added and how many events its history holds.
Ways In
- From My Wines — open a bottle's actions and choose Wine Lookup.
- From the rack — tap a bottle in a rack grid and choose Wine Lookup.
- From the FAB Supporter — tap the + button, choose Wine Lookup, then Scan Barcode or Search My Wines. Scanning finds the bottle in your own cellar by its EAN barcode.
- From other screens — Show bottle in the Wine Portfolio, and a wine in the results of Food → Wine.
