Import from CellarTracker
CellarTracker has the most complete export of any consumer wine platform, and OENARI detects its format automatically — you never see the column-mapping step. CellarTracker's own wine IDs are remembered too: once two OENARI users have imported the same CellarTracker wine and confirmed it is the same wine, it is recognised instantly for everyone who imports after. A wine ID is only learned from bottles that were actually imported, not from suggestions.
Export your cellar
- Open CellarTracker.com in a desktop browser — the export is not available in the mobile app.
- Go to My Cellar.
- Switch to the Individual Bottles view if you want bin and location details in the export.
- Click Export (top right).
- Choose the columns you want and select CSV as the format.
- Click Export to download the file.
Export consumed bottles and tasting notes
CellarTracker keeps consumption history separate from active inventory.
- Go to My Cellar → Consumed and export the same way. OENARI detects the consumed format and archives the bottles with their consumption dates.
- Notes in the file become draft tasting notes for you to complete.
What else comes across from the consumed export:
- Producer, purchase date and store, when the export has them. Consumed bottles are matched on producer as well as name, so they land on the right wine.
- How the bottle left. Bottles marked as sold, gifted, spoiled, broken or missing keep that reason; everything else counts as drunk. A sold bottle keeps its sale price.
- Beer and spirits in the export are left out.
Import into OENARI
- Menu → Import Wines → Select file and choose the
.csv. - The preview says CellarTracker — auto-detected. Tap Start matching wines.
- Review the matches — see How Import Works.
- Tap Import N Wines.
The currency on each row is kept — the currency you pick in the preview only
fills rows that have none. A store called Unknown is ignored rather than
created as a store.
Encoding
CellarTracker exports use Latin-1 by default. OENARI converts to UTF-8 automatically, so accents in producer names survive.
Two files, two imports
Import the active cellar and the consumed export as two separate imports. Each gets its own entry in Past imports and its own 24-hour undo.
