Account Deletion

You can delete your OENARI account at any time directly from the App.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Open the OENARI app
  2. Go to Profile
  3. Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
  4. Read the information about what will be deleted
  5. Type DELETE to confirm
  6. Tap Delete My Account Permanently

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your profile (name, username, avatar)
  • All wines in your cellar (active and archived)
  • All tasting notes
  • Your wishlist
  • All likes, follows, and ratings
  • Uploaded wine label images
  • Your cellars, racks, and storage locations
  • Achievements and notifications
  • Purchase history and consumption records
  • Your authentication credentials

What Is Retained

The following anonymized data may be retained to preserve community data integrity:

  • Aggregated community scores (OP ratings) — your individual score becomes part of an anonymous average
  • Wine and producer records you contributed — the created_by field is removed, preserving the data for other users without any link to your identity

This anonymized data cannot be traced back to you and does not constitute personal data under GDPR.

Important Notes

  • Account deletion is permanent and irreversible — there is no way to recover your data after deletion
  • If you have an active paid subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account
  • The deletion process happens immediately upon confirmation

If you are unable to access the App and need to delete your account, please contact us:

Include the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
