Adding Your First Wine

There are several ways to add wines in OENARI. You can add them one at a time — to your cellar, as a tasting, or to your wishlist — using the FAB button. Or you can bring in your entire existing collection at once via Import.

Add a Wine to Your Collection

This is for wines you own — bottles in your cellar, your kitchen, or on their way to you. Tap the FAB button and choose Add Wine.

You can find your wine in two ways:

  • Scan the label — Point your camera at the wine label and OENARI will identify it against a database of 183,000+ wines.
  • Search — Type the wine name, producer, or region and browse matching results.

Once you've found your wine, follow the flow to add vintage, price, and any other details you want. At the end, you'll have the option to place the bottle in a slot in your cellar — see Your First Cellar for how to set that up.

Tip

You don't have to place the bottle in a slot right away. You can add it to your collection first and assign it a cellar position later.

Record a Tasting

For wines you've tasted but don't own — at a restaurant, a friend's house, or a wine event. Tap the FAB button and choose Taste.

Search for the wine the same way (scan or search), then add your tasting notes. OENARI supports structured notes with WSET-style evaluation. See Taste Notes for the full guide.

Add to Your Wishlist

Spotted something you'd like to buy later? Tap the FAB button and choose Wishlist. Search for the wine and save it with an optional target price, priority, and notes.
