Tags
Tags are bottle-level labels that help you organize your cellar around your intentions — which bottles are gifts, which should be opened soon, which are for sale. A tag sits on the individual bottle, so two bottles of the same wine can carry different tags.
The Six Built-in Tags

Drink soon, Special occasion and Revisit can carry a reminder date and a short note. Reminders that are due are included in the e-mail digest — see Reminders.
The Portfolio tag
Portfolio works differently from the others. It marks the bottles in your Wine Portfolio Premium and follows the In wine portfolio switch: it's added when a bottle goes into the portfolio and removed when it comes out. That's why it isn't offered in the tag list when you edit a bottle — use the switch instead. The tag still shows on the bottle.
Custom Tags Premium
Premium members can create up to 15 tags of their own — a vertical you collect, a dinner club, a project — each with a name and a colour, and apply them alongside the built-in set. Create, edit and delete them in Profile → Settings → Tags. On other tiers, that screen lists the built-in tags.
Working with Tags
- Add or remove tags on a bottle's Edit screen.
- Filter your wine lists by tag to see exactly the slice of your cellar you care about right now.
- Tags are private to you — they never affect the shared wine database.
