Notifications
OENARI is quiet by default. Nothing is pushed to your phone until you enable it, and every type can be switched off individually.
Profile → Settings → Notifications.
Push Notifications
Tap Enable under Enable push notifications and accept the system prompt. Then choose which types you want:

| Your added wines | A wine you added to the community database is approved or rejected |
| Followers | Someone follows you, requests to follow you (private account), or approves your request |
| Taste sessions | You are invited to a session, someone joins or applies to your session, your request to join is approved, and when a wine is revealed. Club requests, invitations, new club sessions and notices are in this group too. |
| Likes | Someone likes one of your tasting notes. The switch arrives in OENARI 4.2.1; before that, likes are always pushed. |
Notifications are sent in your app language — all seven.
When several of your added wines are reviewed within a couple of minutes, you get one notification with the count — 3 of your wines are now in the community database — rather than one per wine. Turning off Your added wines silences these grouped notifications too.
If you declined the system prompt, the settings screen shows Open system settings so you can allow OENARI again.
Not receiving notifications?
- Check that notifications for OENARI are allowed in your phone's settings.
- Push notifications need a physical device. If they can't be enabled, the settings screen says so.
- Check that the type you expect is switched on above.
The Activity Feed
Whether or not push is on, everything that happens to you is collected under Notifications → Activity — follows, likes, invitations, reveals, club requests, invitations and notices, and the review results for wines, producers, vendors and label photos you contributed. See Likes & Activity.
Notifications → Requests lists pending follow requests if your account is private.
E-mail Digest Supporter
A summary of your cellar by e-mail, monthly or quarterly. Choose what to include:
- Wines in their drinking window — bottles that have entered, or are about to leave, their window.
- Tag reminders — bottles tagged drink soon and your own reminder tags.

Announcements
Release notes and important notices from OENARI appear under Notifications → Announcements inside the app, and the latest pinned one on the Home screen. You can comment on them, and from OENARI 4.2.1 like them and tap the links in them. They are never e-mailed unless they concern your account or security.
