Achievements
OENARI tracks your progress as a collector and rewards milestones with achievements and badges. It's a way to see how far you've come — and a gentle push to explore parts of the app you might not have tried yet.
You'll find your achievements in Profile → Achievements.
How It Works
At the top of the Achievements screen you'll see a summary: how many achievements you've earned, your total points, and your onboarding progress.
OENARI has three types of achievements:
Onboarding
A getting-started checklist that walks you through the basics — creating your first cellar, adding a storage module, placing your first bottle, scanning a barcode, writing a tasting note, and more. Each step checks off automatically as you complete it. This is the fastest way to learn what OENARI can do.
Binary Achievements
One-time milestones. You either have them or you don't. These are awarded for specific actions or discoveries in the app — we won't spoil them here.
Tier Achievements
The heart of the system. Tier achievements track ongoing progress and have seven levels:
| Tier | Name |
|---|---|
| 1 | Cork |
| 2 | Copper |
| 3 | Bronze |
| 4 | Silver |
| 5 | Gold |
| 6 | Diamond |
| 7 | Grand Cru |
Each tier has a requirement — a number of bottles, tastings, regions, or other milestones to reach. Your progress is shown as a progress bar, and when you reach the next threshold, you level up. Every tier you reach awards points toward your total score; higher tiers are worth more.
Categories
Achievements span nine categories, each reflecting a different aspect of wine collecting:
- Collection — How you build and grow your wine inventory
- Cellar — How you organize and manage your physical storage
- Tasting — Your tasting notes and evaluation activity
- Quality — The depth and quality of your engagement
- Geography — How widely you explore wine regions and countries
- Community — Your contributions to the OENARI community
- Planning — How you use drinking windows, wishlists, and forward-thinking tools
- Profile — Completing your profile and personalizing your experience
- Professional — Advanced milestones for dedicated collectors
We'll leave the specifics for you to discover — half the fun is seeing a new badge pop up when you least expect it.
Sharing
Each earned achievement has a Show on profile toggle. Turn it on to display the badge on your public profile, or keep it private. You control exactly which achievements are visible to other users.
Three achievements are never shown on a profile: Bottle Collector, Acquirer and Connoisseur. Their level would reveal roughly how many bottles you own, bought or drank. Instead of the toggle they show a lock and the line Never shown on your profile: the level reveals roughly how many bottles you have.
Tips
- Start with onboarding. It's designed to teach you the app — completing it naturally unlocks several other achievements along the way.
- Explore broadly. Geography achievements reward trying wines from different countries and regions, not just collecting more of what you already know.
- Enrich your wines. Some achievements are tied to community contributions like enriching wine data and writing tasting notes.
